As for positive things, it’s a fun place to work. If an emergency comes up the day of your shift or after you’re already there, you need to find coverage which can be really difficult if you’re currently dealing with an emergency. It helps to be knowledgeable about the products and if you’re the type of person who isn’t afraid to pitch a sale, however, if your client base just doesn’t have the money, it’s going to be difficult making your sales average to get that bonus. Sure, there are bonuses but it really depends on which salon you’re working at. I don’t think the average person could live on the pay without having additional income.
